Christopher Ellison, a ChE PhD student, received the 2005 Frank J. Padden Award for Excellence in Polymer Physics Research at the March 2005 American Physical Society Meeting. The selection process was rigorous,with more than 25 PhD students being nominated for the award this year, a record number of nominations. Nine finalists were selected to present their work in the Padden Symposium held during the American Physical Society National Meeting. Chris was selected as the winner after a panel of five judges heard all the presentations.
